  • Writing clear, efficient and well-documented JavaScript
  • Applying secure development practices to protect applications and user data
  • Identifying and helping to resolve security vulnerabilities
  • Working with designers, product managers and other developers to deliver features
  • Taking part in code reviews and sharing constructive feedback
  • Troubleshooting issues across the stack
  • Contributing to technical decisions and improving development processes

What we’re looking for

  • Around 3–4+ years’ professional JavaScript development experience
  • Strong React experience
  • Solid experience building back-end services with Node.js
  • Understanding of web application security, including authentication, authorisation, data protection and OWASP principles
  • Experience using Git or another version control system
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A self-motivated, resourceful approach and the ability to work independently

Useful, but not essential

  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of TypeScript
