About the role: Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for a Software Engineer - Salesforce. The Software Engineer - Salesforce will be responsible for the design and development of flexible and scalable solutions on the Salesforce platforms. This role requires that you understand Salesforce design and development best practices and can apply them to the delivery of business solutions. The Developer will work with technical and cross-functional business teams to implement enhancements and projects, and resolve incidents, and requires a combination of analytical, technical, business acumen, and communication skills. You will develop tools to help scale our revenue-generating operations and increase sales efficiency. This is a multi-faceted role where you will work with our Sales, Customer Success, Product, Growth, Marketing, and Finance teams. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in our Bengaluru office. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role. In this role, you will: Design and develop secure, scalable technical solutions on the Salesforce platforms. Analyze business processes and system implementation to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics Evaluate existing code, develop plans to reduce technical debt over time, and establish a technology roadmap with system architects. Maintain and optimize full lifecycle software development using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, APIs, and Force.com applications Mentor, develop, and train Junior developers Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices Minimum requirements for the role: 4+ years of Salesforce development experience with extensive knowledge of Sales Cloud,, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, and Force.com tools and applications Self-starter, self-motivated, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision Experience in Agile development methodology Excellent communication skills and proven success in a dynamic and collaborative environment Strong problem-solving skills Experience designing test plans, performing unit testing, and writing test classes to ensure proper code coverage Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent An ideal candidate also has: Working experience with Salesforce CPQ Familiarity with integrated applications such as Mulesoft is preferred Experience in contributing to setting up CI/CD pipeline Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Certifications: Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, and other preferred #LI-hybrid At Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background.
