About the role

In this role, you'll design, develop and support internal web applications that improve the way Buildcorp operates. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts and AI specialists to deliver secure, scalable and user-focused solutions.

You'll combine strong software engineering fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery and improve outcomes.

• Key responsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain internal web applications and business systems
• Translate business requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions
• Apply AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve productivity and code quality
• Maintain high standards of source control, documentation, testing and code quality
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and key stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
• Support the modernisation of internal applications and workflows
• Work alongside Buildcorp's AI Lead to align development activities with the broader AI strategy
• Contribute to AI-native solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies including Azure Functions and Azure AI services
• Support and extend solutions developed through Microsoft Copilot Studio and other low-code platforms
• Take successful prototypes and proof-of-concepts through to production-ready solutions

How they work

Apart from their founders, they don't have assigned product managers. You are one ☺. With their advanced use of LLMs, this means you can talk to enterprise customers, form opinions on what a good product is, take an idea, make the case for it, prove it with a POC, spot the pattern across customers, agree the solution with the other engineers and then build it.

• Production experience with Kotlin or Java on Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and Flyway migrations.
• Also bring TypeScript and React experience in production: the frontend is yours too.
• Have genuine agentic development experience, not a tool you've tried once: the ability to scope a small change laterally, work out everywhere it touches the codebase, and direct an agent accordingly.
• Work with a test-driven mindset and build in preventative controls as standard.
