Description
Software Engineer - Test The Role As Software Engineer In Test at Lyrebird, you’ll design and automate tests across our web, API, and AI-driven features, own the testing stack, and ensure we are able to deliver at high velocity and confidently push updates to thousands of users. You’ll work closely with engineering and product to define acceptance criteria, spot risks early, and build scalable automated quality systems as part of the engineering team. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup, automates what others test manually, and takes pride in catching issues before users do. About us Lyrebird Health is transforming the quality and accessibility of healthcare by automating clinicians’ most time-consuming tasks. Thousands of clinicians across many disciplines already use Lyrebird - and that number is growing every day. They trust us to deliver a fast, reliable, and secure experience. We value that trust above all else and strive to earn it while continuing to amaze our users. \n What You'll Do Own the test engineering strategy across the product. Design and maintain automated test suites. Build and enhance test automation frameworks and tooling. Integrate continuous testing into CI/CD. Define test plans and acceptance criteria. Work with engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs early. Monitor and improve coverage, speed, and reliability. What You Bring 3+ years in software testing or test automation. Expertise with automated testing tools (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium/Jest). Experience testing APIs. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with one or many programming languages and the ability to write automation code. Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. What Success Looks Like Every release is stable, predictable, and fast. Automated tests catch issues before customers do. Engineering velocity increases because of QA, not despite it. Test coverage and reliability continuously improve. Confidence in each deployment grows week by week. \n At Lyrebird, you won’t just write code — you’ll help shape the future of the human experience. If you want to pioneer, to create, and to see your work touch lives directly, we’d love to hear from you. We’re building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who’ll benefit from our work. We want Lyrebird to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. If you’re from an underrepresented background in tech, we especially encourage you to apply — even if you don’t meet every single requirement.
