Description
This role will strengthen the Front-End Development team in London and play an important role in Trade Nation’s Greenfield web development initiatives. You’ll be responsible for building new customer-facing experiences, working closely with Product to clarify and challenge requirements, developing high-quality React solutions, and collaborating with our QA Engineers to ensure everything you deliver is robust and production-ready. Responsibilities Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on project requirements Designing, developing, and implementing new software features Collaborating with team members to identify and fix bugs in existing code Creating tests to ensure code quality and functionality Debugging and troubleshooting issues in development and production environments Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers Maintaining up-to-date technical documentation for software components Documenting code changes, enhancements, and newly developed features Working closely with senior engineers, project managers, and designers to understand project requirements Attending team meetings and contributing to project planning and execution, with a commitment to delivering feature development in two-week sprints Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to improve skills and expertise Accurately tracking work status and communicating blockers and progress to the team Controlling the release of code into production environments Thoroughly testing and validating releases to prevent disruptions in production Experience working with commercial and/or financial systems Exposure to APIs, authentication, and secure data handling Strong hands-on experience delivering projects in a commercial environment Solid understanding of Agile ways of working Proficiency with modern React, including hooks and context Experience with RESTful APIs, CI pipelines, and Git-based workflows Experience developing for Payload or another Enterprise CMS Competitive salary, and discretionary annual bonus.
