JOB DESCRIPTION
The mission of TU Delft’s Quantum and Computer Engineering (QCE) department is to invent, design, prototype and demonstrate the potential of disruptive computing engines by harnessing unique features of emerging devices, e.g., qubits, memristors, spintronics, and graphene. Building such computing engines requires a full-stack interdisciplinary approach, encompassing fabrication and operation of qubits, electronic circuit design, micro-architecture, programming models, compilers and simulation platforms. As a Software Engineer, you will work within a world-leading team of scientists with strong chip testing expertise, a team of PhD students and other software engineers. Your main responsibilities and activities include the software architecture, development, implementation, testing and management of a software toolchain for Device-Aware Testing (DAT). You will work closely with the technical and product management to select and define the tools, the software and channels for customer support. You will setup a structured development and testing environment and coach the other software engineers in the best practices of modern Software Engineering. You will define, manage and execute complex project tasks, and report the results to the technical management.
