Description

Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) industry, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ or C# development, with experience in embedded systems, flight software, or ground control systems for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). This role involves the design, implementation, and testing of software that supports UAS flight control, simulation, telemetry, and operator interfaces

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience developing or integrating UAS simulation environments (e.g., PX4, JSBSim, Gazebo, SITL)
  • Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and Agile software development
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab
  • Experience working with sensors, payloads, or telemetry data
  • Exposure to avionics systems, flight controllers, or hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing
  • Active DoD clearance is a plus

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in C++ and C#, with experience in real-time or embedded systems
  • Understanding of UAS platforms or autonomous systems
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with multithreaded development, message buses, or network protocols (UDP, TCP, MAVLink, DDS)
  • U.S. Citizen eligible for DoD security clearance
