Responsibilities
- Design and implement software tools for automated image alignment, reconstructions and biophysical modeling at the molecular, synaptic, dendritic, and circuit levels, from nanoscale images.
- Use deep-learning with emergent technologies that are setting new standards to create polygon generating surfaces (e.g. Neuroglancer, Flood-Filled Network, CDeep3M).
- Develop software that expand throughput and quantitative analysis by experimental and computational neuroscientists.
- Integrate developed software into 3DEM.org, an NSF NeuroNex Technology Hub tasked with sharing computational tools and data at the Texas Advanced Computing Center.
- Maintain up-to-date Github source code sites for all software development.
- Prepare relevant components of manuscripts for scientific journals on new findings and technical developments.
- Train users on the implementation of new programs, and mentor students in coding and analytical computation
