About Us

VisitUs Reception is an Australian-owned visitor management technology company providing workplace sign-in and reception solutions since 2016.

Our cloud-based platform helps organisations manage visitors, contractors and employees through digital sign-in, pre-registration, notifications, delivery tracking, emergency evacuation and reporting solutions.

We are committed to building secure, scalable and innovative software that improves workplace safety, compliance and user experience for customers across Australia and internationally.

About the role

The Software Engineer will analyse, design, develop, implement, maintain and support the VisitUs product suite across web, mobile and cloud platforms.

Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will design scalable solutions, develop and integrate software systems, improve existing applications and support reliable production services across multiple regions.

What you’ll actually do

  • Analyse business and technical requirements, evaluate existing systems and design scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test and maintain front-end and back-end applications, APIs, database structures and integrations using technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, AngularJS, Node.js, Express, PHP and MySQL.
  • Design and integrate AI-enabled capabilities, including Computer Vision, intelligent automation and external AI services such as Azure AI and OpenAI.
  • Design and maintain secure integrations and workflows with external platforms including Microsoft services, Auth0, Salesforce, Stripe, Xero and Firebase.
  • Maintain and enhance VisitUs web, iOS, Android and visitor sign-in applications, including modernising existing software where required.
  • Contribute to Azure cloud architecture, CI/CD and multi-region deployments, including application routing, availability and failover solutions using Cloudflare.
  • Test, debug and diagnose software and production issues, monitor application performance and implement improvements to security, reliability and scalability.
  • Prepare technical documentation, evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate with stakeholders throughout planning, design, development, deployment and production support.
