About the position:

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust software solutions and AI-enabled workflows that streamline business operations end-to-end. Sitting within our engineering function, this role integrates internal tools, ERP platforms, third-party systems, and modern AI capabilities to drive speed, efficiency, and technical excellence across the company. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology and deliver scalable, high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, Docker, and modern front-end frameworks (SvelteKit, Vue, or React).
  • Build, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled workflows and automations (incorporating LLM APIs, agentic tooling, and MCP integrations) embedded directly into daily business operations.
  • Connect internal software, ERP platforms, and third-party tools end-to-end via REST APIs and webhooks, collaborating with external partners to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Participate in technical discovery sessions and process walkthroughs; proactively engage with stakeholders to challenge assumptions and translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Ship functional solutions iteratively, evaluate emerging technical tools, and continuously improve systems based on performance and user feedback.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, architecture, and integration decisions to support team continuity, security, and long-term maintainability.

What we are seeking:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Full-Stack Developer, or in a similar technical role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, Docker, and modern front-end frameworks (SvelteKit, Vue, or React), supported by solid HTML and SCSS capability.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating systems via REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Practical experience building with LLM APIs (e.g., Claude, OpenAI) or AI-assisted development tools, alongside an active interest in applying AI to practical business processes.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, clear written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive approach to taking ownership of business outcomes.

DuckCreek Policy Tech lead

  • Design and implement Duck Creek Policy System solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the technical team in designing, developing, and delivering Duck Creek solutions.
  • Guide the team on best practices for working with Duck Creek Policy Modules (e.g., Author, Server, Express, Rating, etc.).
  • Collaborate with business analysts and clients to gather and understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Manage the full policy lifecycle and transactions, including underwriting, billing, and claims.
  • Ensure integration of Duck Creek systems with other insurance technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • • Bachelor’s degree with 8-13 years of experience.
  • • Strong experience with 6-10 years on Duck Creek Policy system.
  • • Must have minimum 53+ years of experience in team handling.
  • • Candidate should have strong experience on Duck Creek Policy modules.
  • • Good experience in LOBs like Commercial, Personal, Specialty.
  • • Good understanding of underwriting, claims, billing systems
  • • Good experience on Policy lifecycle and various Policy transactions
  • • Expertise working in Author, Server, Express (2&3), Forms, Rating, Batch Processing, Task Creation, Transact, & Address Validation, Transactions, Integrations
  • • Experience in Designing & developing Duck Creek Policy System
  • • Experience in handling & leading team
  • • Good understanding of business, functional requirements and policy workflow of the entire application and project
  • • Understanding the client’s requirement properly and then going for the development in the core areas of DCT
  • • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • • A good understanding of emerging InsurTech technology space.
