The Copilot Studio AI Knowledge team is looking for a senior engineer that can help us do exactly that Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As a Software Engineer II on Copilot Studio AI Knowledge, your role will be to help the team define the right investments to make, build the features with high quality, maintainable solutions, and mentor the teams of engineers to accelerate their career paths, and deliver on the features we have promised customers on time. You will be able to see how customers are using our Copilot Studio and help them diagnose and resolve problems with the Copilots they have built. Responsibilities • Expand the reach of Copilot Studio by building new features, improving performance and scalability as the service grows, resolving issues that block customer flows. • Use your enterprise experience to architect solutions that are high quality and scalable, which include internationalization and accessibility. • Collaborate with a cross-discipline teams across the globe here within Microsoft • Engage with customers and help solve problems that they may have with the application and help drive improvements into the product based on feedback. • Demonstrate technical leadership by identifying and filling gaps, defining architecture, and writing high-quality code. • Thoughtful estimations with clear reasoning on how the estimates were determined. • Contribute to a team culture that embraces diversity and inclusion and makes your team an awesome place to work. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Solid grasp of software engineering best practices. Demonstratable experience building enterprise grade web services and maintaining them. Demonstrable experience integrating complex software systems and cloud components. Demonstrable understanding of systems architecture and API architecture principles. Experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product. Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and prioritization skills. Excellent presentation skills and experience of presenting to developers up to senior management. Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with high ambiguity. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development. Experience building Generative AI applications. Experience working with the Power Platform. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
