Job Qualifications: We require interns to be enrolled in an educational program during the duration of the internship program. In addition, you should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Majoring in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science – focusing on embedded systems or Software Apps (PC, Apple or Android). We prefer you to have a minimum 3.2 GPA.
  • At a minimum, you must be entering your sophomore year of college.
  • Programming Experience in C or C# preferred. Python, C++, Visual C programming, JSON, and experience with CAN bus protocol are all beneficial.
  • Our best interns have strong communication skills, solve challenging problems, and a positive attitude
Responsibilities

To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be working on one or more projects that work directly with our Commercial Products software engineering team. You will have a mentor to help guide your project and help you find the resources you need. The project(s) vary but are often related to:

  • Working directly with our project teams to develop and test our products.
  • Building/Supporting in-house tools for the development team
  • Data analysis of collected field data
