Description
We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our Behaviors team to enhance the quality and usability of our open-source autonomous driving (AD) products, including nuScenes, Panoptic nuScenes and nuPlan. This role involves close collaboration with engineers internally as well as the public to identify gaps where we can improve the experience and usability of our various products.The internship will take place in our Singapore office and we expect a full-time internship period of at least 3 months. We offer flexible working hours and allow for remote work. The candidate will however have to live in Singapore for the duration of the internship. What you’ll be doing: Develop and / or enhance features to improve various facets of our products, ranging from the developer tools, to the data, and the associated benchmarks and challenges Improve usability, documentation, and APIs to support researchers and developers Collaborate with the public and internal teams to gather feedback and iterate on improvements Contribute code, documentation, and examples following open-source best practices What we are looking for: Strong programming skills in Python Hands-on experience working with open-source large datasets (bonus points if you have worked with any of our open-source products before) Experience with evaluation platforms (e.g. EvalAI, HuggingFace) Familiarity with open-source development (Git, pull requests, code reviews) Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail One-team mindset for effective collaboration with other researchers and engineers, both internal and externally Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with machine learning, computer vision, or robotics Passionate about contributing to open-source and the AD community Motional is a driverless technology company making autonomous vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality.
