JOB DESCRIPTION

This position offers a Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions within our expanding Cork office. We are seeking talented software engineers and software testers with a strong interest in embedded systems to contribute to our team and help deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers. Our mission is to ensure products meet stringent requirements and achieve the highest quality standards before field release. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining exceptional software quality.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Information Systems (BIS), or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum team to analyse, design, implement, and test new two-way radio products and features.
  • Engage in teamwork within a multi-site, world-wide development environment.
  • Identify, track, and resolve RTOS device software defects.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests.
  • Execute test cases, analyse results, and report all detected issues/defects.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members and test & engineering managers.
