The HealthKit team is seeking an exceptional engineering manager to lead engineering efforts within HealthKit. As Apple continues to ship more health features and enable more health data streams, constantly improving our systems for modeling, storing, moving and computing over health data is critical for our users. This is a great opportunity to impact Health across platforms and across initiatives including Health, Fitness, Research, APIs, Privacy and low level OS systems. DESCRIPTION In this role, you will support an existing and growing team to evolve HealthKit to support an increasing amount and variety of health data and to build new functionality to support health data related features. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of professional software engineering experience including Apple platform technologies like iOS & macOS frameworks, Swift/Objective-C, Xcode, etc 5+ years managing engineering teams that design complex software systems BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional projects that have had a tangible impact on the direction of the org Strong organizational skills and experience working on large multi-functional teams Strong Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design skills Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills Extensive engineering experience with one or more Apple platforms - iOS, watchOS, macOS
