THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

  • Operational & Technical Fluency: Proficiency in software development, including all aspects such as frontend, backend, automation, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and managing production-grade software systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: A track record of partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to drive delivery aligned with business goals.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Ability to operate independently, communicate proactively, and take full responsibility for outcomes, delivery, and team culture.
  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Ability to mentor engineers, support career development, and foster a high-performing, inclusive team environment.
  • Agile Execution & Metrics: Experience running Agile teams with a focus on lean delivery, using KPIs and metrics to guide progress and improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop teams and leaders by setting clear goals, coaching for growth, and supporting career development in alignment with company policies and values.
  • Drive strategic alignment by collaborating with Product and Engineering leadership to define team charters, establish priorities, and ensure goals ladder up to company objectives (Boomi’s plan on a page).
  • Orchestrate delivery by planning, prioritizing, and coordinating development activities across Engineering, User Experience, Product, Support, and Customer Success to maximize customer value.
  • Measure and adapt by monitoring progress, leveraging actionable engineering metrics, and making data-informed adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Foster a high-performing culture that balances collaboration, innovation, accountability, and sustainable work practices.
  • Ensure technical excellence by advocating for best practices in scalability, stability, observability, and other core engineering standards.
  • Influence organizational systems by evolving processes, practices, and frameworks that help teams focus on delivering customer and business value.
  • Be accountable for outcomes and culture across multiple teams, ensuring both delivery impact and long-term organizational health.
  • Stay connected to the technology with a foundational understanding of the architectural and technical landscape in your area of ownership.
