Experience: 6+ years (3+ years in ServiceNow Development) The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Platform Developer who loves solving complex problems for Business. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform, as well as integrating cutting-edge technologies with ServiceNow. This is a unique opportunity to work with the ServiceNow platform as well as 150+ integrations and latest Technologies like NowAssist, Workflow Data Fabric! This role demands deep technical expertise, strong alignment with Takeda’s business objectives and compliance standards (including GxP and SOX), excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, business-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities Design & Development Develop robust, maintainable, and reusable code by adhering to established best practices in software engineering architecture and processes, including thorough code reviews and comprehensive unit testing. Develop and maintain business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, flow designer workflows, and integrations. Build and customize Service Portals, catalog items, and record producers. Ensure all requirements and processes comply with Takeda’s GxP, SOX, and other regulatory standards. Follow SAFE Agile methodology and regularly participate in SCRUM calls Solution Implementation Work with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices and governance standards. Participate in solution design sessions, provide technical guidance, and recommend optimal configurations. Integration & Automation Implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, Workflow Data fabric, Agent Fabric and Integration Hub. Automate processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. Platform Maintenance Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization. As part of DevOps troubleshoot and fix configuration/script bugs related to developed solutions Conduct unit testing, defect resolution, and ensure quality delivery. Maintain proper documentation for developed solutions. Mentorship & Leadership Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing Contribute to platform governance and participate in code reviews. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise: 5+ years of development experience with JS or ServiceNow 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience with strong focus on ServiceNow platform. Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS (for Service Portal). Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and scripting in ServiceNow. Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations SAFE Agile methodology of software development - logging, unit testing, code reviews etc. Strong understanding of CMDB design, CSDM 4, and ITIL processes. Certifications (Preferred): ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Preferred ServiceNow ITSM Implementation Specialist – Preferred Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability. Ability to work independently and in an Agile environment. Preferred Experience Exposure to other ServiceNow modules like HRSD, ITOM, ITBM, CSM. Experience with ServiceNow AI/ML capabilities like Now Assist and Predictive Intelligence. Experience in integrating ServiceNow with monitoring tools and third-party applications.
