This software engineering specialist role involves working for one of the largest banks in Australia and exists to design and develop software solutions, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and processes. The role has strong potential of career growth based on performance. Key Responsibilities: Design & develop reliable software solutions for critical business applications and enhancements. Create detailed design documentation to support accurate sising, costing, and development planning. Apply Design Thinking principles to ensure customer-centric, feasible, and innovative solutions. Conduct thorough unit testing and produce operational documentation for maintainability and support. Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical requirements with long-term business goals. Utilise Agile methodologies and coding standards to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality applications. What do I need? Hands on experience with Java and Spring Boot, building scalable backend solutions. Proficient in TypeScript and ReactJS, delivering responsive and modern frontend interfaces. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, OOP principles, and entity relationship management. Skilled in JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git, and JIRA, with awareness of design patterns and best practices. Excellent communicator and collaborative team player, able to work independently or in agile teams. Solid grasp of SDLC and application support, with strong time and workload management skills.
