The FLRAA is the next-generation aircraft - modernizing aviation assets for vertical lift, air assault, maritime interdiction, aeromedical evacuation, combat search and rescue, humanitarian relief, and tactical resupply. The Software Engineers will have experience with development, design, and integration and test. The work is conducted in Owego, NY. The work is performed in Owego, NY. Work schedule - Flex 4/10 Schedule or Flex 9/80 w/every other Friday off - or a straight 5/8. Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens with a valid U.S. Passport residing in New York. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer Duties • Perform software development efforts on the FLRAA program • Integrate algorithms and features into C/C++ applications • Design, develop, test, and debug safety- and mission-critical avionics software • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software/hardware interfaces • Support documentation, error correction, and performance validation • Guide certification activities and compliance with safety regulations Qualifications • U.S. Citizen with valid U.S. Passport • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or similar • 2+ years of related experience • Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or Python • Experience with Agile practices • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems Desired Skills • Experience with cockpit, integrated avionics and mission system architectures, avionics, and sensor subsystems • Experience with FACE technical standards for reusable software • Experience with software product line development for reusable software • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) – Preferably CAMEO • Experience with Command-line and shell scripting proficiency, Git version control and Docker Containers, and Wireshark • Proficiency in Real Time Operating Systems like VxWorks • Experience with the design, integration and test of avionics systems and software operational programs Qualifications
