REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with an SQL based programming language
  • Experience working with transfer and manipulation of XML, JSON and CSV data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a concise, clear manner, both verbal and written
  • Skill in building and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues
  • Interest in continuing their skill growth within Software Operations
  • Preferably experience with Linux, Bash and/or PHP
  • Preferably experience with HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Preferably exposure to LAMP-stack development (ideally with object-oriented PHP)
  • Preferably experience with Jira or similar ticketing system
  • Preferably experience working in an Agile team
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You will be working as part of our Software Operations Team, tasked with the maintenance and improvement of our flagship, market-leading, property management SaaS solution, RiskWise. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be paramount, since your role will see you actively working with existing MySQL databases, analysing new and existing data, and making recommendations on future improvements to software operation processes. Your role will also involve working alongside other members of the Software Development Team to provide investigation and solutions to client and stakeholder requirements.
The role is on a full-time basis and will be based from our Elsworth office embracing hybrid working.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data analysis and manipulation within MySQL Databases
  • Bug / defect identification and resolution
  • Development of small-scale system features & enhancements
  • Maintenance and improvements to existing CI/CD and Static Code Analysis solutions
  • Maintenance of existing automated testing infrastructure
  • Work collaboratively within an established Software Development Lifecycle framework, adhering to established source code control, peer review, static code analysis, and automated test processes
