What you’ll achieve As a Principal Software Engineer, you will create solutions, analyzing the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment to design technical system answers. You will: Participate in the development and review of high-end production code Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems Triage and debug different issues found by testing and in customer cases Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ software engineering or related field 8+ years of proven experience in C and Python programming, and operating systems (multi-threading, locks, scheduling) Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug sophisticated programs in a large and complicated code base, using either written or verbal design specifications Experience in system design and test-driven development Motivated to learn, grow, and technically lead others Desirable Requirements Ability to quickly master new tools, languages, and operating systems through training and hands-on experience Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology Experience with automation tools (Jenkins) Who we are We believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
