JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, autonomous Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the DDC-I team. DDC-I Inc develops a safety critical operating system that meets DO-178C objectives. Our SQA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that development and verification teams are following our plans and procedures that fulfill these objectives. The SQA engineer works directly with the Program Manager, Engineering Directors and DDC-I Engineering staff, and reports directly to the CEO. In this role, you will also support customer questions and audits related to software quality and certification. Audit support requires infrequent travel to customer sites.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven working experience with software quality objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Strong working knowledge of software development environment and tools

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience with DO-178C
  • Experience as a Software Engineer and/or SQA Engineer

    Pay: $81,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Perform SQA Audits on Deos software as defined by DO-178C objectives
  • Support audits with customers and auditors in the commercial and military space
  • Coordinate responses to auditor Findings/Actions/Observations and provide responses to the auditors in a timely manner
  • Respond to Customer questions on DDC-I’s quality processes, and provide walk-throughs in person and remotely
  • Review Quality Requirements in customers’ Statements of Work
  • Provide training and clarification on quality processes to DDC-I Engineers
  • Identify and drive process improvement based on audits and engineering feedback
  • Audit all software deliveries to customers
