Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You’re someone who understands that QA is not just about catching bugs, it’s about ensuring we are releasing a quality product - fit for purpose, intuitive, performant, and accessible. You look at automated tests and consider ways to improve them - making them faster, more reliable and more accurate - and are happy to work with others to help them do the same.
Being involved in feature delivery all the way from design through development into production, you’re aware of what to look for during each step of the way and what needs to happen in your cross-functional team to ensure a high-quality outcome.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • The primary focus of this role is to work as a member of a cross-functional development team to maintain and improve the quality of the systems being deployed.
  • Understand requirements, specifications, and how Megaport products work in general as the basis for formulating effective automated and manual tests.
  • Collaboratively work with developers and business analysts to provide quality and testing insight from feature design through development to production.
  • Actively contribute to design spikes and reviews to identify quality improvements, concerns and impacts, including but not limited to usability, performance, accessibility, and automated testing
  • Coach and consult with developers on writing tests, including writing test cases for use throughout development
  • Design, implement and maintain automated test suites
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
