JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a hands-on QA leadership role focused on managing a team of skilled QA engineers and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the QA Community of Practice. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software through robust testing practices, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
We’re looking for someone with deep experience in quality assurance methodologies, including both manual and automated testing, and the ability to lead within an Agile or Scrum environment. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects, coaching team members, and working cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of product quality.
You will thrive in this role if you bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen. The ideal candidate can define and track quality KPIs, assess risks tied to releases, and drive continuous improvement. Experience with tools such as TestRigor, Selenium, Rally, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or JIRA is essential, and familiarity with programming or scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript is a strong plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered. Two years of experience is equivalent to one year of college/trade school)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field of study which includes courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, systems engineering, or relevant experience is required.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years applicable experience in a technology environment is required
  • Minimum 6 years of multi-person team management experience, including task assignment, performance coaching and reviews, hiring practices, conflict management / resolution, and cross functional team leadership required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Agile and test management tools (e.g. Rally, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with automation tools (e.g., TestRigor, Selenium, QTP, Postman, JMeter) required

Licenses/Certifications

  • ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) preferred
  • CSTE (Certified Software Test Engineer) preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master) preferred
