Malwarebytes is looking for a collaborative, motivated, and inspiring individual to join our engineering team as a Software Quality Engineer focused on Windows desktop applications. The ideal candidate is someone who likes to wear the customer hat, is a strong advocate of quality and enjoys collaborating in a multiple-project environment with a “can do” attitude. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing activities, helping ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of security-focused software products. What You Will Do: Be quality focused Comprehend and execute test cases (manual and automated) Uncover, document and track defects Analyze requirements and provide early feedback on testability and edge cases Develop, maintain and improve test case execution efficiency and test coverage (manual and automated) Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with developers and PMs to deliver quality software iteratively Be an integral part of the team while continuously participating in improving process and test methodologies, execution efficiency and effectiveness Skills You'll Need to Have: 2+ years of work experience in a similar field or equivalent 1+ years of work experience with Test Automation (writing automated test cases for desktop apps, supporting frameworks, preferably using С#) A knack for breaking software and finding bugs, preferably on Windows desktop applications Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership Proven record of desktop application (thick client) on Windows Experience using Azure DevOps for bug tracking and test management Experience working with Visual Studio Experience in virtualization environments such as VMWare or Hyper-V Excellent command of written and spoken English Technology Stack: C# .NET Windows Desktop Azure DevOps Visual Studio UI Automation Frameworks Nice to Have Skills: Experience with FlaUI, Appium, or similar UI automation frameworks Experience testing cybersecurity or endpoint security products Networking knowledge (REST API testing, TCP/IP stack, DHCP, DNS, AD, etc.) Good OOP knowledge Experience analyzing logs, crash dumps, or performance issues Enterprise administration such as software remote deployment, multiple user sessions, server support, backups, security policies or networking essentials Perks & Benefits: An opportunity to do something great for yourself and the world!
