SOFTWARE SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Overview: The Software Solution Architect plays a crucial role in our broader strategy for software product sales. This position leverages extensive product knowledge and frequent interactions with customers and account management teams to drive success.

Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building: Support primary sellers by lending technical credibility with customer buyers and fostering strong relationships.
  • Pre-Sale Engagement: Work hands-on with customers to gather solution requirements, demonstrate implementation best practices, and communicate effectively.
  • Product Demonstrations: Independently conduct product demonstrations, providing reassurance that the software product will work effectively and deliver ROI in the customer’s environment.
  • Technical Communication: Interface with technical customer personnel to detail the value of our solutions.
  • Technical Presentations: Deliver technical presentations of offerings to customers and prospects.
  • Configuration Design: Assist with configuration design based on customer requirements and existing IT systems.
  • Product Testing and Integration: Test and integrate software products in customer environments to meet their needs.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Provide pre-sales support as a subject matter expert to the sales team and for pre-qualified opportunities.
  • Account Team Collaboration: Work with account teams to offer new perspectives to existing solutions for current customers and demonstrate the value of UL software products to prospective customers.
  • Solution Win Partnership: Leverage technical knowledge to partner with sellers and drive overall solution wins.
  • Customer Success Handoff: Support the hand-off to software customer success resources to ensure adoption.
  • Compliance: Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and adhere to all physical and digital security practices.
  • Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in software engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software.
  • Relevant technical capabilities in software engineering and design architecture.
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with assigned specialty software products/services.
  • Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes.
