Note: We are not entertaining recruitment agencies for this role or any role.
This is an exciting time for Rubixx as we relocate to Stoke on Trent following our purchase of a new HQ. We’ve been holding back on recruitment for a while so you’ll be joining at the same time 9 other roles we’re filling. Nice to know you won’t be the only newbie! The new offices are undergoing renovation so you’ll need to excuse our dust for a while while we make it Staffordshire’s best workplace!
As our go to person for our customers, you’ll pick up, respond to and help resolve helpdesk tickets relating to our software and services. Some will be questions you can answer, some will require assistance and liaison with our implementation team and some will need to be raised as issues with our development team. In all instances you’ll be responsible for keeping the customer informed. You’ll also be responsible for testing updates and fixes on our software.
This isn’t a factory line of dozens of small tickets an hour like in a call centre, these are tickets from our high profile clients about our Housing, Accounts and Support Planning software. You’ll need to learn how it works in order to understand, investigate and replicate the issue. You’ll be in a small team managed by the talented person who used to do this job, showing we have opportunities for growth and expansion in the business.
While we don’t expect you to understand our software we would like someone who has worked on a helpdesk environment in the past and has great communication and general IT skills. A talent for data work on excel would also be a great help as some tickets relate to data analysis and sense checking. You’ll need to be IT literate, interested in pursuing a career in IT, well organised, able to communicate well in written form in a non technical way and willing to learn.
Rubixx focuses on developing our employees and teaching skills and experience to help them move up to deliver more value over time to encourage promotion (and delicious pay rises)
Due to the need to communicate and liaise with various parts of the business this role is not eligible for hybrid or home working.
What are we like as an employer? Well, we’re probably a bit like you, a bit different from the norm. That’s a good thing in our eyes, who wants to be the same as everyone else, how very dull that would be!
What will you get from us? Well, we have a modern fun workplace, a fantastic customer base who love our products and a tight-knit team who look after each other and all grow together. We’re all different with different strengths and areas for growth. There are no egos, politics or judgements.
We have flexitime, parking, a relaxed atmosphere, an involved and engaged management team, a modern comfortable workplace with as much tea coffee and hot chocolate as you can drink . Our offices have their own private lounge bar for relaxing with a brew and a licensed bar which we sometimes open after work. We have our own squash court, gym, spinning studio and table tennis setup which you are welcome to use before or after work or on your break.
We have an active (and slightly over competitive) social programme of bowling, karting, quizzing and pool.
How will you show us you can fit into our squad of broken robots? We don’t mind. Most people send a CV, which is fine, we’d love to see it or just find a way to show us your talent and stand out from the crowd.
We’ll be shortlisting and interviewing and be aware that the interview will involve a presentation and practical assessment, to make sure nobody has… erm.. exaggerated some of their skills.
