Overview:
Amyx is seeking to hire a Software Systems Engineer to support our DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE current contract (DLA DAAS Enterprise). Timeframe is that this is an immediate opening. The customer HQ is in Dayton, OH, but the position is 100% remote. However, there may be occasions that the candidate will have to go into the office for meetings or duties. Below are specific requirements for this role in the contract.
Responsibilities:
Support current DAAS customer and initiatives like AWS cloud migration and techincal changes to DAAS applications.
Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents
those programs. Provides overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages. Assists all phases of software systems programming applications. Evaluates new and existing software products. The candidate is also desired to have relevant Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) experience on DLA systems and logistics transaction types (EDI and MILS) and DLA systems customer interfaces. The role will also support DLA Digital Business Transformation efforts.
Qualifications:

Minimum Experience:

• Five (5) years relevant experience.
• Familiarity/experience with AWS, Unix, Oracle, WebLogic, and Java technologies.
• Have Secret clearance to help with SIPR responsibilities.
• Motivated and can pick up and learn what’s needed to support and make needed recommendations at DLA.
• Software development, operations and maintenance/sustainment support background. Must have Security+, or Net+ cert.

Security Requirements: Sensitivity Level: IT-I, Critical Sensitive Clearance level - Secret
