What You'll Be DoingTechnical LeadershipOwn and evolve the architecture of a cutting-edge AI and robotics platform
Drive technical strategy and key engineering decisions
Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems
Champion engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Partner closely with the CTO and founders on long-term technical direction
Hands-On EngineeringDevelop backend services using Python & FastAPI
Design and optimise PostgreSQL databases and data models
Build cloud-native systems with Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP
Own CI/CD and deployment processes within GitLab
Ensure high availability, scalability, and operational excellence
Team Building & MentoringMentor engineers across different levels of experience
Act as a trusted technical partner to both leadership and engineering teams

Your Background✅ Proven experience building and shipping production software✅ End-to-end architecture ownership✅ Experience in startup or high-growth environments✅ A Computer Science degree or equivalent technical background✅ Strong technical depth combined with a desire to remain hands-on✅ A collaborative mindset and natural leadership qualities✅ Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
