We’re now looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our team! About the Role As a Software Test Engineer at Compass, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability before they reach our users. This role suits someone who loves finding patterns, breaking down complex challenges, and turning observations into actionable insights. You’ll collaborate across teams, continuously improve our testing frameworks, and help shape how Compass delivers quality software at scale. At Compass, you will: Design and maintain test cases, environments, and scripts for new and existing features. Execute manual and automated testing across web, iOS, and Android applications. Perform system, regression, and end-to-end testing using tools like Applitools Preflight and BrowserStack. Conduct API testing (Postman, GraphQL) and performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability. Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Contribute to automation frameworks and promote best practices in test strategy and coverage. Work with product and engineering teams to define quality metrics and improve release confidence. You will also have: At least 1 year of hands-on automation testing experience, with programming knowledge in C#, React, or JavaScript. Proven experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Familiarity with test management platforms and agile workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to spot risks early. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a detail-oriented mindset. Strong organisation skills, the ability to be resilient under pressure, and a proactive nature, taking pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. What’s in it for you?
