SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER – START YOUR CAREER HERE

Would you like to play a role in testing high-quality software that help improve the daily lives of our customers within the defence sector? And be working in the heart of Copenhagen? Then here is your opportunity to become part of an international work environment filled with talented colleagues!

SYSTEMATIC – WHO WE ARE

Systematic is a truly international software company proudly rooted in Denmark with more than 1200 employees. Systematic is market leader in many areas (Defence, Healthcare, Police, …) and have delivered mission critical solutions to the world since 1985. Together, we write intelligent and innovative code to drive progress and improve lives. We develop IT solutions that make a real difference where it matters most. This is why we never stop developing. Here, there is room to be professional and personal.

THE POSITION

SitaWare Aspire is expanding the team in Copenhagen, hence we are looking for our new Software Test Engineer. Being our new test colleague, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of test and quality assurance of our products. This happens throughout the entire feature development phase and with your close cooperation with your developer team, and early test involvement, you will be a guardian of high quality standards and processes.

Some of your overall responsibilities will be:

  • Asking all the critical questions in the development process, understanding the assignment, ensuring close cooperation with all stakeholders e.g. developers, product owners, designers, and project managers
  • Own the quality assurance and ensure that quality is built in from the beginning
  • Ensure new features have a testable design
  • Being responsible for establishing test strategies, create test cases from user stories, participate in risk analysis, ensuring requirements are met and tested alongside executing manual testing
  • Participating in all test activities like system test, bug hunt and integrations tests etc.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

You are holding a bachelor- or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or something similar.
Furthermore, you have some years of experience with software testing; maybe through your studies or a few years of experience in a similar role. If you have a background within defence, that would be an advantage but it is not a requirement.
As a Test Engineer you will be working with a lot of different technologies.

Some of them could be:

  • JIRA, Xray and R4J
  • Linux CLI
  • Bash and PowerShell
  • Docker
  • Git

It would be an advantage if you have the ISTQB Foundation Certification but this is not mandatory.
You should be expect to be at our headquarter in Aarhus around 20 days a year.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
