Role Overview:We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for high-impact software projects. Key Responsibilities:• Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.• Execute and maintain automated test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and security.• Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous delivery.• Analyze test results, document defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently.• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving testing methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA automation engineering, with expertise in scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.• Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing.• Experience with test frameworks like Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG for structured test execution.• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for test automation integration.• Ability to analyze complex system behavior and troubleshoot automated test failures effectively.• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is a plus.• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and branching strategies for test code management.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in validating software quality.

Quality Assurance & Testing
- Apply QA processes, testing approaches and quality standards across projects.
- Develop and maintain test strategies and test plans aligned to project requirements.
- Perform manual testing and identify opportunities for automation.
- Create and maintain automated test suites across digital products.
- Prioritise testing activities based on business impact and risk.

Qualifications
Essential Experience
- 7+ years' experience in software quality assurance.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using testing frameworks and tools such as Playwright, WDIO, Cypress or Appium.
- Experience with Typescript and/or JavaScript for test automation.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps and test management platforms such as TestRail or Zephyr.
- Experience performing API testing.
- Experience using Git and GitHub workflows.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while aligning with team standards and delivery practices.

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Vision Delivery Manager, the Automation Engineer will lead the design, commission & validation of machine vision related solutions. You will support sales productivity by providing technical input into Machine Vision sales quotations to ensure projects are costed accurately and timely while meeting customer requirements. This exciting position offers you a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers while developing and deploying cutting edge solutions for their blue chip client base.Responsibilities:Take a leading role in the design, development, installation, commissioning & validation of the vision, electrical, software and automation-based elements of the solution at the customer’s site or machine builder facility
- Acting as Vision SME, assist the sales team in the pre-sales activities to include site surveys and quote preparation
- Have a full understanding of the requirements, customer documentation including annotating and feeding back on customer URS, and technical solution
- Liaise with the Sales team to ensure that all information to accurately assess the requirements to prepare and cost a complete quotation are in place
- The role requires contact with Customers, including attendance to site meetings and survey packaging lines to assist in providing a technical solution
- Manage third party suppliers for procurement of hardware, software and services
- Take a SME role in the development of our Vision solutions for customers
- You will promote continuous improvement through the provision of feedback to the engineering team in relation to deployment experience of integrated vision and software solutions
- Identify scope creep or when changes/new requirements are being introduced and communicate same to management and prepare customer quotes to support additional customer requirements
- Required to travel in Ireland and occasional travel abroad

- Requirements:Relevant third level qualification such as a diploma/degree in an Engineering discipline. Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

- Meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and structured standards and practices for regulated Industry including FDA and GAMP
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple disciplines including: in-house Engineering, Operations, Quality and Product Development and Sales departments as well as partners, contractors, suppliers and customers
- Experience in design and development of machine vision solutions preferable
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting machine vision solutions desirable
- Experience creating regulatory documents such as Functional Design Specifications and system validation documents.
- SQL knowledge as both our vision products use SQL so to understand some limitations/ functions to be able to liaise with R&D
- An understanding of manufacturing processes, with experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical devices industries an advantage
- Experience working with PLCs and Automation systems for manufacturing is advantageous, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC.
- Proven record of delivering against set goals

Your roleWe are looking for an experienced QA Team Lead who can step into a live product environment, lead a small distributed team from day one, shape our Quality Engineering (QE) strategy and drive quality across our established SaaS platform and emerging AI capabilities.
Working as part of the Engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and evolving our quality strategy, ensuring quality considerations are embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
