Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our diverse team About the role: As a Test Lead in the Donor Information System (DIS) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will be responsible for quality assurance, ensuring each software product adheres to the highest standards and meets specified requirements. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing our testing methodologies and maintaining standard operating procedures. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will design and execute test cases and scenarios that cover functional, non-functional, and negative aspects of DIS System. By planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities to ensure the product / feature meets all specifications and requirements, this role directly contributes to PDT’s ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape. This position will align to Testing and Validation Chapter of the ICC and initially report to the Functional Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of In-Center Automation/Execution QA for DIS is filled within Takeda ICC, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly. How you will contribute: Responsible for designing, solutioning, and planning the execution of projects. Oversee broader teams covering multiple projects to ensure cohesive progress. Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines Develop detailed test plans based on requirements and design specifications. Execute functional, regression, and integration tests. Implement and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks. Identify, report, and manage defects using tools like JIRA. Track defects to closure, ensuring quality standards are met. Work closely with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and design effective test strategies. Write and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data. Ensure clarity in reporting test results. Perform load and performance testing to ensure applications can handle expected user traffic. Stay updated with the latest testing tools, frameworks, and best practices. Participate in improving the testing process and workflows. Communicate test results, progress, and risks to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus 8-10 years of experience as a QA, with hands-on expertise in various testing tools such as, Tosca (automation testing), JIRA (defects tracking), Postman (API Tracking), Jenkins (continuous integration and automated testing) Experience with basic SQL to query databases to validate data and back-end functionality. Understanding of Agile Methodologies as most teams work in Agile. Knowledge of Git code versioning. Understanding of API testing using tools like Postman. Preferred requirements: Familiarity with JMeter for load/performance testing. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). Familiarity with DevOps principles and how testing fits into the pipeline. Knowledge of security testing practices, including penetration testing or using tools like OWASP ZAP. If applicable, knowledge of mobile testing frameworks like Appium or Sauce Labs. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to articulate issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
