QA Engineer / Senior QA Tester – Loan Servicing & Financial Services

Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced QA Engineer / Senior QA Tester as an Offshore candidate who can work for our client in Sydney with strong hands-on experience in functional and manual testing, preferably within the Financial Services (FS) domain.The ideal candidate will have experience testing Loan Management / Loan Servicing System (LMS) applications and a strong understanding of software testing concepts, test planning, test case preparation, execution, defect management, and status reporting.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse business and functional requirements and identify testing requirements.
• Understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare, review, and execute functional test cases.
• Perform end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.
• Test Loan Management / Loan Servicing Systems (LMS) and related financial applications.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through the defect lifecycle.
• Perform system, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and functional testing.
• Validate application functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain test data required for testing activities.
• Execute test cases and provide accurate test execution and status reports.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and provide detailed information to support defect resolution.
• Support UAT and production-readiness activities where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and documentation.

• Mandatory Skills6+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
• 7+ years preferred for Senior Tester positions.
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Strong knowledge of testing concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to understand requirements and independently derive test scenarios and test cases.
• Strong hands-on experience in test case preparation, execution, defect reporting, and status reporting.
• Experience with test management tools such as Xray or Zephyr.
• Strong experience in manual/functional testing.
• Excellent defect identification, documentation, and tracking skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills – mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
