Bee SEFE Energy we are looking for a curious, hands-on person Software testers for our brand new office in the World Trade Center Rotterdam.

In this role you are the one who helps us keep every application reliable and user-friendly. You test the applications that our customers, colleagues and partners use every day, from quotes and contracts to invoicing, customer portals and reports. You not only look at whether something works, but also whether it is logical, stable and future-proof. You work closely with developers, business analysts and colleagues from the business.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

As a Software Tester, you mainly focus on functional testing of the applications within our largely customized IT landscape. You test processes as our end users experience them, both internally and externally. You will also not miss the background processes at a functional level. You are part of our SCRUM team and actively participate in all associated activities.

You play an important role in supervising user acceptance tests. You ensure that new functionalities are well received by the people who work with them every day. You also have an affinity with supporting colleagues who work with our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, executing and automating test cases You create clear and realistic test plans. You carry out test cases in a structured manner and clearly record findings. Where possible, automate test cases.
• Collaborating with developers and business analysts You work closely with our developers and business analysts. You think about risks and test impact of new functionalities and provide timely feedback so that problems are resolved early. You contribute to a joint working method in which testing and development reinforce each other.
• Functional refinement of processes and interfaces You assist with the functional configuration of screens and processes so that they are set up logically and efficiently. You always look with the end user's eye.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

• Experience in functional testing of applications You have demonstrable experience in testing applications. You understand how underlying data and processes influence test scenarios and you can properly understand these connections.
• Good knowledge of testing tools and software development You know testing tools and know how to apply automation frameworks to reduce repetitive work. You understand the basics of software development.
• Fluent Dutch (essential) You write and speak excellent Dutch. In this role you check whether texts in our largely Dutch user interface are clear and correct. You also master the English language at a level that is required within our international organization.
• Strong communication skills You explain things clearly and build effective relationships with diverse teams.
• Experience with user acceptance testing You have guided users through testing and know what works and what does not. You understand how key users think and act, or you have been a key user yourself.
• Affinity with documentation You draw up test plans and test cases and carefully record findings.
• Experience with the energy market (advantage) - It is an advantage if you have worked with energy processes before or if you are interested in the energy world.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and SQL (advantage)
