Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability, using both automated and manual testing methods.
You will begin your journey in our Customer Experience department, where you will learn our software inside and out, interact with our clients, and fully understand the problems that our software solves for our customers before immersing yourself into the QA/QC role.
This is an in-person position based out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta office.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

  • Perform manual and automated tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose
  • Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios
  • Execute tests on software usability and analyze test results on database impacts, errors, bugs, and usability
  • Prepare reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and report to the design team
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
  • Create a test plan and test cases, ensuring privacy and security standards are met
  • Identify and document defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues
  • Assist in prioritizing and managing the testing of cases, ensuring they are assigned correctly
  • Collaborate with the team in weekly meetings to discuss successes, challenges, and improvements
  • Transition towards more QC tasks, focusing on early-stage reviews and troubleshooting
