About the role:
Are groundwater levels sufficient to support future drinking water needs? Is the soil stable enough for large-scale construction projects? Which areas are most suitable for storing renewable energy? Reliable information about the subsurface is essential for answering complex societal and environmental challenges.
As a Software Tester, you will be a key member of an Agile development team responsible for developing and maintaining critical data-driven applications that support the collection, management, and distribution of large-scale geoscientific and environmental information. You will help elevate the organization's testing capabilities while contributing to solutions that support informed decision-making and sustainable development.
What will you do?
You will play a vital role in ensuring that the applications we develop are reliable, high-quality, and fit for purpose. Working within an Agile development team, you will use your expertise to improve software quality and strengthen testing practices across the organization.
In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, fellow testers, and other stakeholders. You will design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated tests, ensuring new functionality performs as expected while safeguarding the stability of existing systems. Your forward-thinking approach enables you to develop effective testing strategies that support long-term product quality.
You will work with tools such as ReadyAPI, Playwright, and Groovy to automate testing processes and provide actionable feedback that helps teams deliver high-quality software efficiently.
Beyond hands-on testing, you will actively contribute to improving quality assurance practices and fostering a strong quality-focused culture. Working alongside senior colleagues, you will help define testing standards, guide best practices, and ensure every release meets established quality requirements.
What we expect from you:
You are naturally curious and passionate about delivering high-quality results. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and can communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You have a strong eye for detail while maintaining focus on broader business objectives.
You take initiative, embrace continuous improvement, and inspire others through your commitment to software quality and test automation. You are proactive, well-organized, and able to remain effective under pressure. You continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and ways of working.
