We are looking for a Software Testing Engineer to join our team in Espoo, working at the forefront of advanced X-ray technology. In this role, you’ll be embedded within a software development team to enhance testing capabilities and ensure real-time availability of tested software. This Scrum-based model is expected to significantly improve product quality and time-to-release for our world-leading photon-counting X-ray detectors.
Job Description
This position requires fluency in English, as you will work both autonomously and in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and enhance automated tests for new software features and bug fixes
- Maintain and refine automated and manual test specifications for photon-counting detectors, minimizing the time between feature completion and release
- Improve automated tests within the continuous integration process, utilizing real detector electronics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test specifications and traceability are current in our test management tools
- Perform regular manual and ad-hoc testing on daily and milestone builds with real detectors and X-ray sources
- Participate in Photon Counting Software Development meetings, including daily standups and other Scrum activities
What we’re looking for:
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of the importance of testing in the software development process
- Proficiency in automated test scripting, preferably in Python, with a basic understanding of programming languages like C, C++, and/or Java.
