Description
Hardware Engineering is seeking a seasoned Engineering Project Manager to oversee internal software applications development. We're looking for an individual with a demonstrated command of core project management practices and a proven ability to operate in complex, fast-paced environments. This role will be critical in driving strategic planning, improving cross-functional alignment, and driving end-to-end project delivery. DESCRIPTION The position requires an experienced engineering project manager with clear ownership of end-to-end project delivery — including tracking progress against milestones, managing risks and mitigation plans, and driving structured communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings experience in software development, excels at building and maintaining clear roadmaps, and can break down complex or ambiguous work into actionable plans—ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery. This role bridges business stakeholders and our software engineering team, acting as the primary liaison between groups while guiding product vision and prioritizing features for development. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, QA, and partner teams to ensure timely delivery of initiatives while navigating complex stakeholder dynamics. A key part of the role is proactively identifying timeline risks and presenting well-formed mitigation paths. You must be comfortable going deep into project details, aligning diverse perspectives, and confidently communicating status and trade-offs to executive leadership. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of program or project management experience in a complex, cross-functional environment. Proven ability to manage web-based application projects through the full lifecycle, with strong planning capabilities, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration and process optimization. Tactical experience implementing projects using Agile methodologies across distributed teams. Able to quickly grasp complex ideas and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, etc.), fostering collaboration and maintaining project momentum Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and regular progress updates to drive successful collaboration. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent work experience. 7-10+ years of program or project management experience in a complex, cross-functional environment. Experience working in or alongside software or hardware engineering teams. PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification. Experience with software development metrics — defining, collecting, and analyzing data to drive informed decisions and improve delivery outcomes. Familiarity with tools commonly used in engineering environments (e.g., Wrike, Jira, Confluence, or similar). Experience working within or alongside a PMO structure, with exposure to program governance, reporting cadences, and cross-functional planning.
