Responsibilities

Consulting and communication
Advising scientists, administrators and university management on software procurement, use and licensing
Proactive information about deadlines and compliance requirements
Analysis and strategy development
Analysis of software requirements through requirements engineering, market and risk analyses, and technology scouting
Derivation of tailor-made procurement strategies
Licence management and system administration
Establishment, maintenance and further development of a central software and licence management system, including demand, financial and forecast planning
Setup, administration, monitoring and automation of licence portals and manufacturer admin consoles
Support with software procurement and tendering procedures in close cooperation with the procurement team
Support with software procurement and tenders that comply with public procurement law – including technical support with the creation of service descriptions and evaluation criteria
Technical support in reviewing, evaluating and negotiating licence and contract models (purchase, rental, framework, maintenance and service contracts) through to conclusion
Selection, qualification and evaluation of national and international software suppliers
