Soil Lab Technician- Ekiti

You will be responsible for conducting various construction material tests on-site to ensure they comply with project specifications and industry standards. You will play a vital role in supporting quality control and contributing to the success of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
· Collect, prepare, and test soil, asphalt, and concrete samples according to FDD (Foundation Design Data) and relevant construction standards.
· Perform field tests to assess material properties such as permeability and strength.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
· Input test data into computer systems and generate reports.
· Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to laboratory safety protocols.
· May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· BSc or HND in Civil Engineering, Geography, Geology, Soil Science or relevant discipline
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a construction laboratory setting.
· Proven experience in conducting soil, asphalt, and concrete testing.
· Strong understanding of FDD (Foundation Design Data) and relevant construction codes and standards.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficient in the use of computers and laboratory software.

Experience:

• Construction Laboratory: 2 years (Preferred)
