QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and currently reside in or near Virden or Brandon, Manitoba. Only local candidates will be considered due to the nature of the field-based work.
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable operating a vehicle and navigating rural roads for extended hours.
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience handling small equipment is highly preferred.
  • Physically fit and able to walk, kneel, and carry field gear for multiple hours per day.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality data collection.
  • Previous soil sampling, field scouting, or ag fieldwork is a bonus but not required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ronin Agronomy is looking for reliable and detail-oriented Seasonal Soil Sampling Technicians to support our fall sampling operations. If you have a background in driving, mechanics, equipment handling, agriculture, or hands-on fieldwork, this is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing field team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct soil sampling at designated locations using specialized equipment and following established protocols.
  • Ensure accurate and representative soil samples are collected to provide valuable data for analysis.
  • Collaborate with the soil sampling team to plan sampling routes and efficiently cover target areas.
  • Assist in the packaging and labelling soil samples for transportation to the laboratory.
  • Participate in training sessions to become familiar with sampling procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to provide progress updates and discuss any challenges or questions that arise during the sampling process.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Adhere to the schedule and complete assigned sampling tasks within designated timeframes.
