Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Soil and Crop Modeling (SCM) team develops advanced simulation technologies that support CNH Industrial’s global product development for heavy equipment. By leveraging sophisticated computational tools such as Discrete-Element Method (DEM), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD), and System Modeling (SYSM), the team models complex interactions between soil and machinery to improve accuracy, reliability, and performance in product design.
As a Soil Simulation and Validation Intern, you will focus specifically on heavy construction machinery, contributing to simulation development, validation, and testing activities. This role provides the opportunity to apply engineering research skills to real-world equipment while supporting the advancement of soil modeling technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in the development and validation of soil simulations for heavy machinery
  • Simplifying CAD geometry for use in simulation models
  • Preparing test sites for equipment validation and field trials
  • Supporting instrumentation and data acquisition for equipment testing and validation activities
  • Collaborating closely with SCM engineers to refine models and improve simulation accuracy
  • Contributing valuable data and analysis that drive innovation and accelerate product development
