Job Description: Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants has immediate opening for a Caltrans soil Field Technician in Irvine, California. The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of Caltrans standard test methods, especially CT 125, CT 216, CT 231, CT504, CT 518, CT523.1, CT 539, CT 540, CT 543, CT 556, and CT 557, along with experience performing general construction related soils and concrete tests typically performed by a field technician. Duties will include preparation of reports and other pertinent field data as well as maintenance of field and laboratory data files. A minimum of 2 years of experience providing on-site construction quality control services is required. Required Skills:  The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Basic computer skills with Word and Excel is required. Current Caltrans certification in the test methods listed above and Radiation safety certification is required, and ACI Field Tech 1 certification and concrete testing experience is preferred. Responsibilities
