POSITION SUMMARY

The Solar Business Development & Operations Manager will be responsible for driving solar project opportunities from concept through execution. This role combines business development and operations leadership, including opportunity identification, bidding, subcontractor management, procurement, and oversight of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) activities. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, operate with minimal direction, and deliver measurable growth for the solar business line.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience in solar project development, EPC management, or related renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record in business development, including opportunity identification and successful bidding.
  • Strong knowledge of solar project engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, project budgeting, and proposal preparation.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and driven to produce measurable growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead solar business development initiatives, identifying and pursuing new opportunities in commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
  • Prepare and manage project bids, proposals, and RFP responses to secure new contracts.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost control.
  • Oversee procurement activities for solar equipment and materials, including vendor selection and supply chain management.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of EPC project execution, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development and operational goals.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent DSGH in industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
  • Work independently to establish and grow the solar division, producing sustainable business growth.
