*POSITION SUMMARY:*

A Protel Industries Site Inspector is crucial in ensuring precise system designs by visiting sites to collect essential details, measurements, and observations. This role involves direct collaboration with Electrical Teams and Clients to create accurate and efficient solar solutions.
This is an independent-contractor position only.

*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

  • Knowledge of the solar energy industry and related regulations is an asset.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD software is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Personal vehicle required for work purposes.
  • Working-at-Heights or Fall Protection certification.
  • Personal ladder required for work purposes.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks and time effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Engagement in training opportunities to expand product knowledge and enhance expertise.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences, overcoming objections, and handling various customer interactions.
  • Ability to balance a physically demanding workload, including standing, lifting, climbing, bending, crawling in confined spaces, and working in diverse indoor/outdoor environments.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, to meet business needs and customer availability, including out-of-town assignments.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections, including safely climbing ladders and working on roofs.
  • Review project scopes and document all relevant site details.
  • Accurately measure and record site dimensions.
  • Submit site checklists.
  • Communicate with clients and other team members to obtain site plans as needed.
  • Convert accurate site measurements into required drawings.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and punctuality for appointments.
  • Submit monthly invoices for all completed inspections.
