You’ll work closely with your crew and report to the Crew Lead and Field Manager, helping deliver residential and commercial solar PV systems on time and on point.
From assembling rooftop equipment and sealing all roof penetrations to performing trenching and concrete work, you’ll play a hands-on role in every phase of the build. Your attention to detail and team-first mindset will ensure each project is completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble & install solar modules, panels, or support structures as specified by system designers.
· Assemble rooftop equipment and properly seal all roof penetrations.
· Perform trenching, concrete work and equipment assembly as required.
· Interface with Crew Lead and Field Manager to ensure compliance with system design and necessary codes
· Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the process.
· Working in a team environment on the assigned projects
· All other duties as seen necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
· At least 1 year of construction experience; roofing or solar installation is a plus
· Familiarity with hand tools and working safely on rooftops
· Valid fall protection certification (or willingness to obtain)
· Valid Driver’s License (Clean driving abstract and a Criminal Record Check is required)
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work outdoors in all conditions
· A positive attitude, team mindset, and strong communication skills
Working Conditions:
· Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions and jobsite environments
· Working at heights and in confined spaces
· Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
· Lifting, bending, standing, and other repetitive tasks
· Travel throughout Canada with occasional overnight stays for out-of-town projects
We Offer:
· Competitive wage: $22–$27/hr based on experience
· Extended health, dental, and wellness benefits
· RRSP matching, paid time off and opportunities for professional development
· Per diem for travel for out-of-town projects.
· Regular training and certifications (Fall Protection, WHMIS, etc.)
· An inclusive and forward-thinking team culture with annual team building events and activities
