Otter Energy is one of Ontario’s largest and most established solar energy companies, with its roots in solar project construction and maintenance. Otter is seeking full-time Solar Installation Technicians that are passionate about energy and sustainability.

JOB SUMMARY:

Solar Installation Technicians are responsible for the construction of the mechanical portions of the solar generating systems. This work takes place at various locations within the GTA and throughout the province. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to be part of a growing team, who is able to be hands-on, and who strives to take ownership over what they do.

• Work comfortably on construction sites in various weather conditions and environments
• Ability to travel throughout the province and stay away from home throughout the workweek
• Ability to stand, bend and twist for long periods of time

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years general labor experience
• High school diploma
• Working at Heights certificate is an asset
• Valid Ontario driver’s license & vehicle is MANDATORY
• D Licence or higher and Boom Truck Operator Ticket an asset

• Lifting and transporting solar panels and other necessary materials
• Capable of working in an efficient, safe manner outdoors in all weather conditions
• Fastening aluminum racking systems to support the solar modules
• Handling and fastening the solar modules to aluminum frames
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Attention to detail when completing tasks
• All other duties as assigned
