Position Title: Lead Generation Canvassing Branch Manager
Reporting Structure: National Sales Director**
Base Pay: $18 per hour
Earning Plan: Uncapped commissions on personal sales and uncapped overrides on all team sales. Est. $150,000-$200,000 per year earning potential.

Attendance: 100% attendance record is required for all roles within PS

POSITION SUMMARY

Pathway Solar is seeking an experienced, results-driven Lead Generation Canvassing Branch Manager (BM) to drive and scale our solar sales canvassing team in New Jersey.
As the Branch Manager you will lead, train, and inspire our canvassing teams in the field. This is a leadership role ideal for someone who has experience managing sales teams, preferably in door-to-door solar sales. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team focused on generating qualified leads and appointments through direct canvassing efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2+ years of experience in roof top solar sales, and at least 1-2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and field management software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must posses a cell phone and laptop
  • Experience in the solar industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example — participate in field canvassing and demonstrate best practices. Branch Managers can expect to spend up to 90% of their time in the field canvassing and doing field checks for the first few weeks of the program. *Long term the field/office split will be 50/50.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, manage, and motivate a team of canvassers to meet daily, weekly, and monthly lead generation targets.
  • Coaching & Development: Conduct regular team meetings, roleplays, and one-on-one coaching sessions to build canvasser confidence and skillsets.
  • Performance Management: Set clear KPIs, monitor field activity, and implement accountability systems to ensure consistent high performance.
  • Operational Oversight: Coordinate daily field operations, assign territories, and track canvassing progress using CRM and mapping tools.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and refine scripts, objection-handling techniques, and canvassing strategies to improve lead conversion rates.
  • Quality Control: Ensure leads meet qualification standards and are accurately captured and entered into the CRM system.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with support departments and national leadership to ensure alignment between field operations and company standards.

Reporting & Analytics: Analyze lead data and team performance metrics to identify trends, track ROI, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure canvassing activities are conducted in compliance with local laws, community guidelines, company policy and safety protocols.
