A 40m+ modern classic sailing yacht is seeking a Chef to join on a full-time basis. This is a lovely, well-run and professionally managed private program with an excellent history of crew longevity, offering a stable and enjoyable working environment. The program operates between the US East Coast and the Caribbean, with participation in one regatta per year. The owner uses the yacht with friends and family, and the program is well planned, steady and organised. While in the United States, the yacht is typically based out of Newport, Rhode Island or Maine, and during the Caribbean season the yacht is based in Antigua. The owners are seeking a calm, down-to-earth and well-organised Chef who enjoys cooking healthy, well-balanced cuisine, with a particular focus on Mediterranean, modern American and vegetarian dishes. The successful candidate will be confident and self-sufficient in running the galley independently, staying on top of accounts, budgets and provisioning, and maintaining high standards of organisation and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking for a long-term position on a stable private sailing yacht, working within a respectful and professional team and for an owner who value consistency and quality. ideal candidate will be available to start in May but could be as late as early June. ideally you already have your B1/B2 if not you need to be able to apply for one.
